Off-site costed

Our off-site costed inspection is performed at the point of collection. Vehicles are inspected to the BVRLA ‘fair wear & tear’ guidelines (or alternative standard as specified by the customer).

  • Any exceptions to the inspection standards are reported and estimated using the database held in the inspections handheld device.
  • A printed vehicle condition report is produced and the customer’s signature is captured electronically at the inspection / collection point.
  • This details all damage recorded and the estimated cost can be displayed on this report or suppressed.
  • The inspection results are transmitted by a GPRS link and are available via the IMS (Inventory Management System).

On-site costed

Our on-site costed inspection service is available at all Manheim Remarketing centres. These inspections utilise Manheim's in-house inspection software:

  • Vehicles are inspected to the published inspection standard.
  • Any exceptions to the standards are reported and estimated.
  • As with our off-site costed inspections, the database contained within the handheld device is used to generate the estimate, which can be tailored to the customer’s needs.
  • The handheld devices use wireless technology to transmit the inspection results back the central database and are available via the IMS (Inventory Management System).
