Theatre Auctions

Theatre auctions offer an effective means of promoting individual vehicle manufacturer or fleet vendors’ brands to an exclusive buyer audience in a ‘closed’ auction format. They are a great way of stimulating first-time buyer participation, raising awareness of existing auction programmes, launching new models into the used car market or incentivising repeat auction purchases.

Theatre auctions take the action out of the auction hall and into some of the UK’s most exclusive and prestigious locations, including stately homes, motor-racing tracks, innovation centres or sports stadia. The auction is normally combined with either daytime or evening entertainments in which buyers participate (for example: casinos, high-speed rally cars, 4x4 off-roading, quad biking etc) or view (for example: sports events including horse-racing, football, motor sport or rugby.)

The auction itself is managed by a professional auctioneer and buyers base bidding decisions on high-quality professional vehicle images that are projected onto a large, vendor-branded set. Either traditional ‘paddle’ or electronic bidding options are available.
