Manheim Auctions has a national network of auction centres that cover the length and breadth of Britain from Cornwall to Glasgow, offering more than 50 auctions every week! More than 500,000 vehicles are offered though the Manheim Auctions network in the UK every year. There are 19 car auction centres, including Europe’s largest car auction centre at Colchester, 9 commercial vehicle auction centres, offering vans, trucks, plant (e.g. construction & farming machinery) and one motorbike auction centre at Mansfield.

There are two types of physical auction:

‘Open’ auctions

These are auctions that are open to both motor trade buyers and the general public. They make up the vast majority of the auctions that are held at Manheim Auction centres

‘Closed’ auctions

These are auctions to which a select number of invited buyers are allowed to attend. Typically they are attended by large motor trade buyers or franchised dealers. Invitations to these auctions are usually via post, email or telephone.
